It’s official! It’s time to start thinking about colleges for Kyle… How did this happen? I vividly remember researching pre-schools and then *POOF* – now it’s time to look at colleges? Since he will be entering his Junior year and not want to spend every 3 day weekend going on road trips, we [...] I’ve never really thought about oysters and how they exist before being topped with lemon on the half shell… but this past weekend Craig and I headed to the Oregon coast, met up with Paul and Lana Jane Brent and the four of us took an excursion north. The weather couldn’t have been more perfect [...] Hopefully slightly less eventful than mine! I was heading to the Oregon Coast on Saturday for Lana Jane Brent’s birthday party and all of the sudden heard a weird sound… I found myself 10 miles from civilization, on the side of a narrow road, with a major flat. No problem! Get the cell phone, [...] I spent the first weekend in January walking the Gift Show in Atlanta – boy was I tired when I got home! 3 tall buildings, tons of things to see, people to talk to, trends to look for, a product signing and more… FUN! A few of the new products I was able to see for [...] I’m heading to Vancouver, WA again next week! This time to the Pacific NW Quilt, Craft & Sew Show Thursday, November 19 – Saturday November 20th at the Clark County Fairgrounds. I design digital scrapbooking kits for MemoryMixer.com and will be joining Lane Hill in Classroom 3 at 1 pm each day to add my [...] How much fun was this? On November 4th & 5th I had the pleasure of speaking at three Quilt Parties at the Vancouver, WA location of Craft Warehouse, about fabric design. (It’s like I have my own “Craft Warehouse Road Show” and I love it!) What started as 2 groups that met in the store, these [...] This Wednesday and Thursday I will be at the “Quilt Party” at the Craft Warehouse Store in Vancouver, WA. If you are in the area, come on by and check it out – it’s open to any fabric lovers or quilters and it’s free! Wednesday, November 4th – 1 pm Yesterday I had the pleasure of speaking to two groups of quilters at the Craft Warehouse in Gresham, Oregon. What a fun and talented bunch! If anyone thinks sewing is easy, you head over there and look at some of their work – wowza! I was invited to the two “Quilt Parties” to talk about [...] Today I dusted off my sewing machine and got busy! I used to sew a lot… as I sat piecing fabric together I remembered buying my Pfaff… it was about 12 years ago when my son was little and I needed to upgrade my machine. It was a MAJOR investment and I remembered all [...] Yesterday I had the pleasure of talking to two quilting club groups at the Craft Warehouse in Aloha, Oregon. This store has an amazing quilting and fabric department whose size is very deceptive – they pack a great variety of fabric in a small space.
